Just curious as to what "acceptable" is. I've heard for some 1 qt for an hour of track time is okay, others 1/2. What's the general acceptable use for a SBF?

I’ve never run into a consumption rate like that especially at a track day. Granted I run 15-40 vr1 generally. My fox running in all 3 run groups at a track night in America wouldn’t burn any oil. And that’s 3hrs of drive time with almost no breaks. For my endurance racing we would run a qt fat but that’s 8hrs on track just with pit stops being the only down time.

My 4.6 DOHC may use a quart every 7-8 hours or so. I think most of that is pulled thru the PCV system under high vacuum situations like heel/toe downshifting.
