Just got a great deal on a low mileage H.O. motor out of a 86 GT. Has anyone tried running a B-303 or E-303 cam in these motors? Worried about valve clearence, but would love to run the "E" cam.

Ran the B-303 with 1.72's for years. Eventually went to TW heads and put a 1.6 on the intake side. Fit with no probs. But you should still measure anyway.

I am just rebuiding one now and the valves hit the pistons with a b303 cam.
I didnt have a head gasket on while checking it but .038 isnt going to make that big of difference. I ended up just getting aftermarket pistons that had valve
notches as the stockers did not.
