I dont really have $500 for H-beam rods but want something better than stock. I figured that If i replace the bolts with ARP and have all the work done to the rods I'd be close to spending what the I-Beam rods cost , so, why not just get them.

How good are they??
R u happy running them??

Nothing wrong with an I-beam rod. They are much lighter then a comparable H-beam but are still plenty strong. Eagle makes a reasonably priced set of SIR 5.090" rods in either press fit or floating type pins. They should be good for your application. You can spend more on an even lighter I-beam rod, but it will cost you more.

Are they lighter than the regular rods???

Would they be better for a high reving engine than?

What's the advantage???

It's for a 351W BTW

a *cheap* I beam like the eagle is not gonna be any better then a prepped stocker really, so don't go looking for miracles.

They are not lighter then stock, in fact, a hair heavier.

The good I beam rods like olivers, crower, cunningham etc are in the $1000+ range

In fact, I think I read somewhere that the Ford stock rods are made of better material then the 5140 or whatever that the eagles are made from, but I cannot verify that.
