My car seems to run so much harder (feels like 15-20hp diff hot/cold) when its cold. I want it to run like that all the time. Would running 20 degrees cooler hurt/wear anything in the long run. I would love for the car to run no higher than 180 degrees. Am i asking for trouble? If not then what do i need to run that cool? thanks guys..

im no expert but a buddy of mine said it would run faster if i removed the thermostat. well it sure did run cool, about 165 all the time. but then the good people on here said i should put it back in. i guess the engine is meant to run on the temps it does stock...so i put the thermo back in...imnot gonna risk it running lean or whatever...

Some people go with 160* or 180* thermostats. This should help, and they are easily accessible.

I use a 180 degree thermo and a manual fan switch. Keeps the car nice and cool.

You can read how to do the Fan switch mod in the tech section of this site. It's very easy.
