Hi,
I am rebuilding my 89 5.0 and I can't figure out what cam this is. It does not have a company name on it. The only markings it has are on the end. It has a "G" on the top and bottom of the back of the cam with a "1L1" on the bottom also. I know how confusing this is, but that is the best I can explain it. This motor came out of an 86 t-bird, so I want to make sure it uses the HO firing order. I would really rather use this one untill I build up the motor. Thanks

Look down the shaft in between lobes and see if you can find a casting number cast in raised numbers.
If its a stock 86 Bird shaft it doesnt have the HO/351W firing order.

I know it isn't a stock t-bird cam, because the guy I bought the car from had the HO firing order on it and it ran ok. I don't see any other numbers anywhere else on the cam. Thanks for the reply.
