My cousin put a new timing belt on my mustang, 2.3 liter, and the distributer was pulled as well, when he put it all back together, the car starts, idles, but there is no power to the wheels. The timing marks are right on, and the distributer is hitting on 1 cylinder, at top dead center on the crank, and the cam gear is also on the mark. Also, the car is on the compression cycle as it comes up to the top. Any ideas? Originally a new head gasket was put on the car, and it started up and ran well, but a lubricant was sprayed at the crank, and the car shut off, and would not start, which led to the timing belt replacement. any ideas?
