Guys,

Got a sticky gas pedal after installing a new throttle position sensor (TPS). How can i fix the sticky gas pedal?

I've read that greasing the throttle cable or cleaning the throttle body helps, but I don't understand why changing a little plastic part (TPS) would cause a sticky gas pedal. Didn't have the problem before the change.

Any advice on how to fix would greatly appreciated!

when you remove the tps unit you see a flat blade that rides under it. thats what the tps sensor gets its reading from. I've never heard of anyone getting a " sticky pedal" from changing it, but maybe you've got it actually rubbing against the new sensor. Might be worth while to take the tps back off and hit the pedal a few times to see. That shouldn't happen regardless, so it could be seated down on there wrong. Did you open the holes for the mounting screws a little?
