Anyone know who makes a 6.2 inch I beam that has Y6200 on the side.Written large in what appears to be a light laser etch.

Crankshaft only numbersw I can find are on the front counter weight numbers 060528 HM.these numbers are not on the face of the weight but the edge.

THANKS

I looked and the rod bolt heads say arp 8740 rpm -07,this leads me to believe I have rpm i beams.

I am still searching on the crank, but I will almost bet this is a rpm crank as well.

Those are rpm rods. The crank is also rpm
I am going back to the shop later to look even closer.I did not see anything on the face of the front counter weight.RPM and Scat both told me their names whould be on the front facing part of the front counter weight, but I did not see anyones name.Maybe I missed it.

Thanks for the info.

Is the crank cast? Scat has a part number on the face of the crank and also right behind the front counterweight. RPM's name is laser etched on the face of the front counterweight ONLY on there steel internal cranks. The cast cranks have no marking other than HM.
This crank has no marking on (face)front(that I noticed earlier)but it has 060528 then farther around is has HM along the outer edge of the front counter weight.

THANKS AGAIN

cast steel or forged steel?
I do not know.It was supposed to be a scat cast crank. Will all scat cranks have their name on the face? Both cast and forged.I told the scat rep it was supposed to be a 9000 series. The scat rep said it would have their name. This is a 4 inch stroke.Since it is not I am just curious to what it is.

This crank does have a HM on the outer part of the front weight.

Woody, with your DIY kits do you check the clearances between the bearings and mains and already have them matched?Or would I most likely need to buy 001 bearings for a build? What is the wait time for a 408w DIY kit?

Here is a scat 4.00 inch cast, notice the name on the front c weight.
I am buried under engines, DIY's depending on availability are 4 weeks easily. The customer is responsible for ring gap and bearing clearances. If you need bearings, call me and I will sell them to the customer for cost.

Here is the SCAT crank and rods that came with my short block.
I am sure the rods are RPM,but still not positive about the crank. There is a HM like woody said.
But like I was told"I am no engine builder"so what do I know.

Its NOT a scat crank, thats not even in question anymore. Its IDENTICAL to an rpm cast crank. You can tell because the crank you have is based off a cleveland crank, just by looking at the counterweight in the picture. All that aside, if you paid for a scat cast crank you did NOT receive a scat crank. The rod is an rpm lite weight I beam.

I know.I was trying to be a little sarcastic in the last post.I did pay for a scat crank and scat rods. They are adamant that it has scat parts.I will ship it back to them Monday and start my new search for an engine.I originally wanted to build it myself and it looks like I may.

Woody I will email you first about the DIY kit.I would like to get prices using other rotating assemblies.I do not think I NEED forged.
