I just installed an K&N (borrowed it from the expedition) and also I removed the air spout... Drove a few miles and it has more power but the "check engine" lite has come on and stays on. any thoughts? Will this clear out on its own after the computer adjusts for the increased air flow???

thanx Chris

It sounds like the plug-in at the MAF (right by the air filter) is not plugged in or does not have a good connection. Check it.

If it isn't the MAF, you could try disconnecting the battery for a few & reconnecting it to see if that helps(?).

If the filter has been reoiled recently, excess oil could have been deposited onto the MAF sensor? Clean it carefully with a q-tip and electronic cleaner.

found it, Intake Air Sensor connector was loose code P0113. My friend cleared it.. What a PITA , you have to take the whole air intake pipe off to get at the air cleaner..

thanx everyone..
