Friend of mine has a leak on the passenger side where the header connects to his o/r hpipe on his 95 GT. He's been told that this is very bad for the car as it will burn away the O2 sensor very fast and also burn up his exhaust valves and f up the engine.

I doubt this, but am not too knowledgable about this. Can anyone throw some input on the matter?

i've heard running without an h-pipe will burn up exhaust valves, so maybe that is what that person was thinking... I don't think it would hurt as long as the leask wasn't a HUGE leak, and didn't leave it go for too long.

A tiny header leak won'd do anything but sound funny. If you were to take off your H-pipe and run the car, it would burn up the valves if you ran it too long...

Thanks for the replies...

The header leak is pretty small. You can barely hear it when revving and driving. But when you floor it thats when it gets most noticable. Gonna take it to get fixed soon, just wanted to make sure driving back and forth from work, etc would be aite.
