I just purchased the Hayden fan controller which probes into the radiator fins. I have high hopes of this product!

I want to set it to activate when the coolant temp is 190 degrees. Unfortunately, I know that 190 degrees at the thermostat is not 190 degrees in the radiator.

My thermostat is set to open at 180. What's my best bet to get the Hayden set properly?

Its a 1995 GT with a Fluidyne radiator.

what you want to do is have the car cool down and start it up and wait a few minuets and grab the upper radiator hose and when you feel the hose get hot that means you thermostat opened up. Then adjust the fan to where it come on at that temp. You might want to have it turn on a little before than so it stays around 180ish. I hope this helps
