I have a friend with a '94 six w/auto. He is wondering if it is possible for a direct drop in of a "99+ engine and tranny. Doing so would give about 50 more horses stk. in addition to his planned turbo setup. -Going to ford on monday to ask a tech offical.
If possible: what tunes would have to be made. Factor in all the upgrades which have to be made for a turbo anyway, as it will be done @ the same time, fuel system, bigger MAF, pistons/rods, etc. Also will a supercoupe CRANK fit the new 3.8?

If not: will all the main engine parts on a 99+ (heads, Up/low intake, etc.) fit on a Supercoupe block. The Supercoupe block is a second choice as the old 3.8 blocks are weaker than the thunderbird's. If not possible will his 3.8 parts bolt to the SC block, excluding better performing parts such as the water pump for example and still work in harmony?

-Going all out for the ultimate sleeper, planning 450+hp @ track and high 2 to low 300 hp on street.
-Trying to make a decent challenge to my '89 supercharged fox.

Thanks for all the help!:D

v6sprout on v6power.net has done the complete supercoupe block swap with blowe so he can help you, as for what you aer wanting to do, the 99 up is a direct bolt on minsu a few little issues like fuel rail... and the fuel system being returnless....

if you want to save money you can go to www.rpm-mustangs.com and order some ported heads/intakes and a cam with a couple other bolt ons and put down 230rwhp/tq there about autos suck up more power....

and if you take a 99 up motor and do the same mods you come up with the same hp/tq there about and if you just slap in the motor you only put down 160rwhp and 190tq less for auto.
