I'm trying to install electric oil pressure and water temp gauges and I have a few questions. The gauges I got came with electric senders, but why couldn't I just tap into the stock wire and use the stock sender for my gauges? Would this read on my aftermarket gauges? Would it be inaccurate? Thanks in advance.

The stock sending units are not compatible to the aftermarket gauges. They have different ohm readings for different gauges. It would be inaccurate. Would probly make the aftermarket gauges like the stockers, will go up when you have 5 psi pressure and not more, which is why you want aftermarket gauges, to see if move up & down when idling.
A aftermarket water neck, where the T stat is has an bung for the aftermarket gauge sending unit. The oil pressure sending unit will need a T if you want the stocker to keep working, and a extension to get away from the block..
