I just bought a set of used AFR 185s. On the end of the head, above AFR's part number it is stamped "FTI". Does this have anything to do with Flowtech Inductions and Ed Curtis, or do all AFR 185s have that stamp? Please tell me they're prepped by "The Man, The Myth, The Legend" Mr. Curtis. If so, I got even better deal than I thought. Thanks- Dan

My AFR 165's are box stock and don't have the "FTI" on them. Sounds like you may be on the right track thinking Ed Curtis hooked them up!

If the have FTI engraved in them, then yes, Ed has done some work on them. I had a set of pure street prepped heads that I purchased from Ed that had FTI engraved on them. The heads could have significant work done, or just a clean up, depending on what the previous owner had Ed do to them. You should at least have Ed's prefered choice of valve springs, which are significantly better than the original AFR's.
