I know that the cam and power level your car is running usually dictates whether or not you should upgrade your booster, but this is the first I have heard a positive reaction from the stock booster in conjunction with Cobra brakes on the fox, and with so much power your car puts out.

What springs do you have on your car, BTW? Thanks for the quick reply :)

yeah no problem.i was surprised also when i first test drove it and it stopped so well, nice pedal feel.that was in the back of my mind if i was going to run into problems with the cam i have.but so far so good.i believe the 93 cobra MC works the best with the stock booster.i have FRPP B springs in the car.i had to put adjustable lower control arms to lower the back more and had to cut a 1/2 coil out of the fronts to lower a little more.the pic above is before i cut the coil springs in the front and put the lower control arms in the rear,so now there not much fender to tire gap at all.

Well, that's good news since I have Bs as well. Mine seems lower than yours though, even with my 16s and it's even got poly isolators all the way around. Do you have an updated pic of it with the cut springs?

Well, here are how mine turned out, 17 x 9 in the front on a 245/40/17 and the rears are 18 x 10 with a 275/35/18 Michelin Pilot Sport.

Right now they are still the SVO/Saleen style, but I am going to a stock length ranger type axle to use with modded SVO caliper brackets. They come outabout 1/2" in the wheel well, but once I gain the inset of the stock length axle it'll be right where I want it. I DON'T intend to drive it this way, until I do the axle swap. See my thread below for more info.

with the stock length axles u will not have any issues with the 10s in the rear. i went with that setup on my 92 and have plenty of clearance with the 10s and 275s in the rear. i did roll the fender lips for insurance.

Looks like I have almost 2" inside with the SVO axle. Time to jack it up and change the axles and grind a bit.

About Wheel Replicas

Well I aksed because i called wheelreplicas today and asked to speak with Jeff but a guy named Brian I believe attended my call. I specifically told him I had done the brake conversion and all the bla bla....well he flat out told me that the 10.5 FR5 would not fit the rear of my 91 GT. I explained to him that they were already on fox body cars with these wheels and he simply told me it was not possible.

That is why I asked where you bought the wheels because if I am calling and wheel replicas says no can do then I want the ones you have that do fit with the nice polished lip. Man those rims look just awesome.

The fronts are 17X9 and the rears are 17 X10.5 right?

ii put on 18x10s and had no issues. as far as 10.5"s in the rear of a fox, i personally have not seen it in person. a few on here swear they fit but you be the judge. the couple pics ive seen ive gotten mix reactions..some look like they fit while others "appear" to be sticking out a lil.

Mine are 17 x 9 front and 18x10 on the rear. I bought them from Mustangtuning.com, thru the group purchase on here a while back. Cost me like $470 shipped for them. I used 245/40/17 Michellin Pilot Sports on the front and 275/35/18 Pilot Sports for the rear.

Thanks to stanger_maniac for his fitting of the 18's on his car. He did it before me and helped influence me using them.

Thanks

Thanks for the info guys. I do hva e one questions...it may be a dumb one but here goes....Is there a noticeable difference in the wya the car accelerates with 17 inch vs the 18 inch wheels?

It looks like I may end up going 18 inch after. I must say guys you both have great looking stangs and wheels.

Thanks

My overall tire height did not change by much, so the overall gearing didn't change, but it is more responsive with the shorter tire and less sidewall flex than the 245/50/16's

Thanks for the props...........

I think in order to run a 17x10.5 fr500 on fox with stock width rearend you will have to use 3/16-1/4 spacer with a 285 tire.I am not sure how far they will stick out of wheelwell though.I think the 18x10 is roughly 1/2" less backspace than the 17x10.5
