Looking to go with a 335-345 wide 18" tire to fill my '91s mini-tubs.
Any pics of 18" wheels on Fox body stangs appreciated.
Please ONLY '85-93.
Thanks, J

50dro, where did you get those Bullits from? I have never seen a full set with that large of a dish in the front. Nice car!

Thanks! I bought them used but I'm pretty sure they are these?

I don't know if that is the same wheel unless the pic is wrong. I also thought it was rare to see that much dish on the front wheels. I mean it looks awesome and I would love to duplicate it but I am not sure which rims you are using.
If you look at the customer pics they look exactly the same, but I agree on the site pic...doesn't look the same (or as good IMHO)
I think you car is perfection. My 93GT is painted the same color and it doesn't look near as good.

After looking at the customer pics it appears they offered two different style of dish over the years? I see some with more dish than others.
I don't think I've posted pics in this thread...here's my Fox with 18" True Forged Victories.

Thanks Marlin!! I think the styles may have changed a few times over the years...
Yep, and with several companies replicating them, there's bound to be more than a few styles offered, I suppose.

Blu50, very nice!
Thanks

Love those Boyd's. Those are the first I have seen of those. Looks real sharp. Pain in the rear to keep polished arent they? Any tips you have I would greatly be thankful, I have a set of Boyds myself that I need to polish so I can sell them, I gave no need for them since going 5lug.

Yeah. It's a lot of elbow grease. I have a pneumatic polisher. I use it on med speed with something like rubbing compound to break through oxidation and corrosion. The use a cotton/wool pad with a wheel polisher like Blue Magic to finish the job. Takes about 2-3 hours per wheel.

I cleaned up a set of Weld Pro Stars that where from 98 that looked like brushed aluminum and when I was finished they where better looking than what they are new. I'm going to do my Boyds this spring sometime. I've also just used tooth paste and a terry towel to cut and old cloth diapers with Blue Magic and elbow grease to polish up wheels. It takes a lot longer when not using power tools. Some areas are impossible with power tools so.

Your wheels are hella easy to clean up. You should have no problems using power on those. I wouldn't suggest using the flitz ball and a drill. The amount of time you need would kill the drill and end up costing you more than just having it done professionally. Air tools are definitely nice for something like this.

screw this thread I want 18s now!! lol
I wanted to build my daily driver as a streetable drag car, but now after seeing all of these, I really want a clean, nice handling daily driver....god I can't make up my mind!
I use Wicked Metal Polish. That stuff works great. +1 on the power tools
HAHAHAHAHA!!! I know...Definitely should have a disclaimer!
lol no kiddin!
Got some pro pics & thought I'd share...

I am getting a set of 18x9 (front) and 18x10 (rear) and I need some input on tire size.

Many thanks!

I am pretty set with 285/35 for rear, but still unsure about front. I am thinking 245/40 but I got to look around some more.

Do you have a perfect side view of your car with those tire/wheel combo?

I think my choice is going to be perfect fitment-wise; Thinking about going with those: EBAY Link

Do not put a 245 on a 9" rim as it does not look right. 255 is the minimum.
