I am building a kit car, where I have a 1995 Fuel Injected 5.0, but to get it to work in the kit car I am using the a 93 based wiring harness kit, so everything is not plug and play and the engine/kit did not come with the sensors.

One of the sensors that I am trying to track down is the BAP sensor.

From what I have been reading, the MAP / BAP sensor is the same sensor and the only difference is in what the computer is expecting to read (based on if the vacuum line is hooked up or not). Is that correct?

Secondly, I was able to scavenge a MAP sensor from a 1990 Cougar with a 3.8 engine. It plugs into the 93 5.0 harness, is it safe to assume that this sensor will work?
