Someone mentioned to me that they thought there was a company making a flexible steering shaft, possibly giving a lot more clearance. Anyone know about this? Company name/link? I'm trying to finish a 351 with a Flaming River rack/shaft and Hooker 1-3/4 longtubes and there's no way it will clear right now...

Yeah, I don't know what Hooke rused to fit their pipes but I had some major issues with my 2" Super Comps and FR shaft. I ended up welding the center shaft to the joints and getting rid of the set screws. Some minor pipe flattening later I now have adequate clearance.

What a pain in the ass!

I was able to gain enough clearance last night by lengthening each joint to maximum starting on the rack end, which moves the top knuckle as close to the firewall as possible. Then had to cut about 1/2" off the last piece that goes into the steering coupler that comes through the firewall, dimpled the tube a little and I'm good to go....
