My brother recently purchased a 96 GT. The previous owner was also the original owner, and he told us he didn't do anything to the car. It has a strut tower brace on it, and it sure looks factory, but I thought only Cobra's came with factory STB's? Could someone please clear this up for me? Thanks!

The '94 -'95 , as well as the '96 thru '98 GT had the strut tower brace as standard equipment. The '94-'95 and the '98 to present Cobras do not have these tower braces installed at all. I would believe due to the fact as a cost cutting measure. With the 5.0 engines in the '94-'95 Cobras, I guess they did not want to build or install a brace due to the slightly taller Cobra intake manifold, even though a brace was available a little later on in the Motorsport catalog.
