Can you use a 4V block for a 2V build up? Any particular problems that you will run into? Any and all info is appreciated.. Thanks..

There's another thread here that is almost the same. The Explorer block is actually a 2V.The only differences in that block and the older aluminum blocks is a bit of extra ribbing on the exterior, and the water crossover passage on the driver's side of the block in the front is already drilled.

There are a lot of threads on this topic if you do a search. Yes you can do it, several have.

Additional differences in the Explorer block is less freeze plugs, as well as stronger webbing in the mains.

There is a very good article on mustangweekly.com about it and I also have pics of the block up close on my site.
