Been chasing down a major problem since install used 42s with new 90mm L-MAF with a proper EEC tune. It is PIG rich on all cyliders and smoking black. The ONLY way I can get it to run half way well is to UNPLUG the MAF! Then it stops surging, stops smoking and drives without stalling and falling on its face.

Someone told me when this happened to him, he found he had a bad injector! WFT? I also read that you really cant just replace one injector because it wont be balanced and could cause all of them to be wacky and go rich or lean? How can that be?

Any thoughts? Im og week 4 without a car and I am at a complete loss and going broke fast after the P1sc install :(

Are you getting a C/E light with a code about the MAF being out of range or some **** like that? Sounds more like it's a bad ground with the MAF or something like that. There's no reason why you wouldn't be able to change just one injector since injectors aren't balanced from the factory, just flow tested to make sure they meet their flow criteria. Have you looked at your plugs? Are they all black and sooty and carboned? If they are then that's fuel but are they ALL like that or is it just one injector? I don't believe one injector could cause your problem and it really sounds like it's a Xfer function having to do with the EEC/MAF and your injectors. Good luck.
