I recently bypassed my smog pump. I then unbolted the pump and rubber hoses were pulled off. Now I have a pipe with an open end on it. This is the pipe that connnects the heads together for emissions crap. I was wondering if you can take the pipe of or if you are just supposed to block it? Also would it be making a loud ticking noise? It almost sound like a header leak and valvetrain noise mixed together! Please help!!!! Thanks Jake T.

Just leaving it would sound like a big exhaust leak. I cut mine off leaving about 1 1/2 inches left, jammed a bolt in it, and welded them shut. Then I bolted them back on the heads. You cant even see them. I also welded the pipe on the Hpipe the same way with the bolt.
