I just built a 306 and had it dynoed, it made 701 at the crank.
How much horsepower is it at the wheels? Is it the 15 percent rule?

20% of 701 horsepower is 104kW so my napkin math on a ~130 lb pile of steel and aluminum figures every 10 seconds the temperature of the transmission would increase by about 45 degrees celsius .

I think the percent of loss might not scale with output.
