OK, just got a '83 Mustang GT, 5-speed, T-top car.... really resurected this one.

Anyway, what years Mustang (& other cars if applicable) can I get the infamous "double hump" transmission crossmember out of? The stock one is almost rusted away & I want to put true dual exhaust on the car.

Also, what are the largest FACTORY front/rear sway bars available for the car? What year Mustang should I look for to get these out of the boneyard?

Thanks

A lot of the 87 and later 4 cylinder cars even have the double hump. They are different between auto and standard.

The crossmember itself is the same, but I think they are welded along the tubes in different spots.

I think that 85 and 86 were the largest sway bars, but those may very well have continued on to 1993.
