You could have probably gotten away with it when the car was new maybe but with the bushings being old and shotout, there is going to be alot of flex and movement and it's more than likely going to wheelhop. When I bought my 88 GT, it had Steeda LCA's but stock UCA's and no quad shocks, it wheelhopped so bad that one of the parking lights broke! If you want to take the quad shocks off, be ready to have to buy some new LCA's at the least. You might get lucky and not get hop but more people get hop then not.
My friend bought his 87 GT without quad shocks on it and it didnt wheelhop when you got on it but when you tried to do a burnout, it wheelhopped bad.
