While trying to tune my car, the tuners found out that my MAF is reading the Barometric Pressure at 27hg when it is really closer to 30hg.
Do I need a new stock 2002 MAF? Does anyone have one that they are not using:p
Thanks

I have the housing for an 02' if you want it. the electronics are not included.

I would get a new one under warranty. It isn't performing properly anyway.

Question: Were you running rich or lean at all?

I am running very very lean. Like 14.1.

About the warrant, my powertrain warranty is voided as you can see by my profile:p but do you think they would replace the MAF since my mods don't affect the MAF?

I dont see a n\a motor maxing out or not being able to use the stock maf.

Im only running a 80mm lmaf with my combo.

Also how are they reading barometric pressure on the maf?
The only thing you see on a scanner is the maf voltage and air intake sensor.

Bill,
The later cars do not have a BP sensor , but they calculate their BP info from the MAF readings.

02TBLUEGT,
With all the deep breathing exercises that this car is now doing the tuner should set the BP max and min to 27 so as to ignore BP as the BP readings will now be wrong. The same is true for blown cars. No you do not need a new MAF from a BP stand point but you may be getting close to maxing out the stock unit. What is the max AD count or MAF voltage that you are seeing?
