My combo is in my signature, I am wondering if I need a bigger oil pan. I plan on running my motor up to 5k-6k RPM's. I am going to be running a stock replacement melling oil pump. My car is lowered 1 1/4 in. Will there be any ground clearence, or any other clearance, problems with a bigger oilpan.

Thanks for any help.

oil pan

i have a stock motor w/ 100k on it & i run a melling h/v pump w/ stock pan.my car is also lowered 1 1/4" & i have no problems w/ either thing. i always make sure oil is full & i use synthetics.i also replaced my rear main seal, valve cover gaskets & cleaned out the filter under the pcv valve & replaced pcv w/ motorcraft.
i did the gaskets & pcv etc.. to keep from having excessive oil pressure & to keep it properly ventilated to prolong life.
i also used the hardened upgraded oil pump drive shaft.
