Which direction do you turn the distributor to advance timing standing in front of the car looking down at it?

Shouldn't be turning the dizzy without a timing light. If you have a timing light its easy to see what is happening.

Have a lite and will use it. But just want to barely creap it up the right direction and not lose the exact spot it is at trying to figure out wich way to advance.
