was up guys...i just got a 4cyl mustang convertable its an 88. It was my mom trying to make some peace after she wrecke my 89 t/a but thats a whole nother story...my question is...my buddy wrecked his 79 mustang a while back but the motor and tranny he still has....now he went high 11's wth this bad boy...i was with him most of his runs...i can get it off of him CHEAP but...ive heard the v8 swap is difficult...and that the turbo 2.3 can be very fast..now is ease of swap gonna ofset going 11's? is it really that hard to do a 5.0 swap? (its a carbed 5.0):confused: :evil:

I'm usually a supporter of the 2.3T, but if you can get a built 5.0 w/ trans for cheap, that may be the way to go. I doubt your friends 79 was stock, but your stang will have pretty much the same suspension, rear (except no trac-lok) and brakes.
