Custom made 5-lug 1993 cobra rims

We here at corral are a very community based mustang website. We have connections here that blow my mind. At any rate. It has come to my attention that we have the means to run a limited, maybe new line, of 1993 cobra rims that are 5-LUG!!!!!!

The requirements are the following:
1. We have to secure an order of 20 sets of rims, to make this first run. (I am not naming names as to who where etc., but it can and will be done. I have taken it upon myself, to poll the sales and to try to complete this group order.)
2. Please reply to this ad and in your post, number your self accordingly so that our member can see how many sets we have to go to get the ball rolling.
3. On a poll of 20 or more sets we will majority rule the dimensions to the winners.

Our limited run will resemble 93fiveoh's prototype rims.

I guess I'll be #2...here is what was on the porch when I got home. I just need to stretch the frame and add the tandem 8.8 and I'll be good to go.

i need a set but what B/s do i need??the 98 cobra wheel fits perfect under my car.

Jeffo said he modified the inner lip for the center cap because the stock wheel was badly engineered and made it hard to remove the cap. AT any rate he recommends using a hook to take them out not a screwdriver, because you will mar the paint there. He said he added a 45 degree ridge, those of you with the OEM rims please check and advise. At any rate I want to see how they look with tires. WHat size tires you all going with?

I am having my 245/45-17s from my stock Cobra rims mounted to the 5 lug rims. They should be done by the time I leave work. I'll try to remember to look at the stock rims and compare them to the rims from Jeffo.

The stock center caps are hard to get off, but I didn't need to take them off that many times and I never had them come off.

29.5bs is as close to a 8" bs as you will get, the more offset the more they will tuck, the 26mm bs will actually bug out 3.5mm. As you can see billy we uh all went with the 29.5 because we wanted the ability to have more room, rather then less.

At any rate Jeff told me that all we need is 24 sets to place another order, we are almost half way there. We need more orders.

I asked jeffo that question, he recommended 235-245/45 and he said a 275/40 would work also.

I'll be putting 245/45 on the front and 275/40 on the rear.

I have 255/40s on my 4 lug '93 Cobra repros and they look better than the 245s I had on before.

Just my 0.02 cents.

Mine are scheduled for delivery on Monday. The North Race Cars bracket kit is here, so I'll be ready when the big brown truck shudders up the driveway.

Those 5-Lug Cobra replica's look great! What was the final width of those? 8 or 9 in? I'd consider a set if a second order is made.

Will chrome come with chrome center caps?

If not, are the center caps actual aluminum that can be polished?

They are 8.5" wide. You can put yourself on the second list if you are serious and really want a set.

The center caps are brushed stainless just like the originals. They can probably be polished, ask a professional polishing shop for an opinion there. Wheel Replicas offers the four lug repros in chrome with the standard brushed cap, and they look good that way.

When I called Jeff, he said that calling him actually works the best as he works sometimes 16 hours a day, and is on the phone for about half of that. So give him a call to get it set up. That goes for anyone on the list still waiting.

First set!!!*

*In Arizona anyway. Actually, the first 2.5 sets.

Just checked them out, all perfect. They look just like the others, so no need for a pic. Tomorrow, the work starts to get them on the car, after it comes out of storage and gets a bath.
