Custom made 5-lug 1993 cobra rims

We here at corral are a very community based mustang website. We have connections here that blow my mind. At any rate. It has come to my attention that we have the means to run a limited, maybe new line, of 1993 cobra rims that are 5-LUG!!!!!!

The requirements are the following:
1. We have to secure an order of 20 sets of rims, to make this first run. (I am not naming names as to who where etc., but it can and will be done. I have taken it upon myself, to poll the sales and to try to complete this group order.)
2. Please reply to this ad and in your post, number your self accordingly so that our member can see how many sets we have to go to get the ball rolling.
3. On a poll of 20 or more sets we will majority rule the dimensions to the winners.

Our limited run will resemble 93fiveoh's prototype rims.

114 wheels is 28.5 sets. We were up to 32 sets on the list, did a few guys back out? I'm still good for my 2.5 sets.

I have a dream

That one day, my wheels will look like they were meant to.
That the tribars will carry only sticky drag radials or autocrossing tires.
That I will get the direction of the wheels correct and not drive around like a goober with the lefts on the rights and vise versa.
That Teal will come back in stile and people will quit asking me if it is a real cobra - as if they would know one anyway (actually I like it when they stop to talk about the car).
That one day it would be considered polite to burn the tires off the back of the car just as a show of respect for the Blue Oval and that one day, the Blue Oval would show the true color of Teal - after the wheels are delivered and put on of course.

Hi,
About half of the wheels are on the water right now -- which means less than 30 days until arrival. I expect the remaining portion will probably be loaded in less than 30 days. I have email Alexandros the details of what is needed.

just curious,if this is a new idea why is the pic dated 2001 11 23? kinda odd is'nt it,the one of the teal cobra that is?

Let me explain, Prior to this order being filled there were only two sets of 5-lug Cobra rims that existed that were Ford Factory "prototypes". The picture is of one of the sets.

OK, if you were not on the original order you can not buy in just yet. As soon as we have completed delivery of these rims, I will start another pre-order list. This time there will be at least 50 sets pre-ordered, that is the new minimum. As far as cost and specs go, read the pre-order list, it is all in there.

We have completed our first pre-order list, and are taking delivery. If you wish to purchase a set of these limited run's you will have to monitor this subscription and be added onto our next list.

What I am hoping is that once we have taken full delivery, and people/magazines see the rims, there will be an outcry, and we can start selling them as a wheel replica wheel. We will need to start a thread for 1993 cobra rims/5 lug only to showcase our product. Time will tell, and that was my part of the deal that I promised once the first order was placed. That I would keep taking orders as a favor for a favor, not to mention trying to increase aftermarket sales of rims everyone and their mother wants, but no one makes.

Again, the second pre-order list will be available shortly, and the specs on backspacing will be polled, the centerbore is standard, and the finish will have to be polled also. If I remember correctly, to get chrome we will need at least 50 pre-ordered chrome rim sets. Otherwise they will be satin finish.

All perspective buyers take note, just because we have this order delivered, does not mean that we will ever have enough people to make another run of rims, put the word out, post up in other sites, and I will get the ball rolling on the next order. Also please do not bother Jeffo concering these rims, do not call wheel replicas, and ask about them, this is mine and Jeffo's project, he is doing the corral a favor. Every one on here who is receiving rims needs to send out a special thanks to Jeffo, Wheel Replicas, and myself for breaking our backs to get this limited first run of 5 lug 1993 cobra rims delivered.

****Also, all pre-order list buyers, monitor your pm's, you will be receiving a pm from Jeffo regarding the order forms, and payment. Half of the sets are on the water, heading to CA, the other half are still in China. If you fail to cooperate with Jeffo, or hinder our furthering of delivery, you will forfeit your order, and I will personally take delivery of your rims.***

At this current time, any and all orders that were cancelled after the pre-order list was sent out, will be bought out by myself. Again, if you were on the list, changed your mind, and we did not account for your rims on the last pre-order list, I will be buying your set. Or if you just give Jeffo a hard time with payment.

MJS, we still have to split our set of rims, we are both getting 1/2 of one set bruzza. And however many other sets we bought, so far I am at 1.5 sets last time I counted. Does anyone know if anyone changed their mind and had to bail on their order?

I agree, thanks are in order for Alexandros, Jeffo , and Wheel Replicas! I believe that those of us who got in on this deal will be very happy that we did.

And I would like to put my name on the list for an additional 2 rims if possible. (Same as first order) #3.5??

umm thunderbirds have 5 lug.. they have cobra replicas in chrome,silver look the same with out center cap?? any thunderbird has them so go find one at a junk yard near you!

Great news indeed. I'm still down for 2.5 sets, but if there is a shortage of wheels for the members on the original list, I can go down to 1.5 sets. Either way is fine, and I'll leave that up to you guys to figure who gets a set if it comes down to that. Because we are splitting a set, I will PM you with my contact info.

Thunderbird wheels are 15 inch, not 17 inch, have a smaller five lug pattern, same as Taurus, wrong backspace, and different center cap size. Similar styling, totally different wheel. Don't feel too bad though, people have been making this mistake since 1993.
