I have seen a few posts in the past about code 212 on the 94-95, I thought I would pass on what I found this past week on a customers car. The car is a 95 GT with a 351, S trim, and alotta other goodies. Since day one the car has had a popping occasionally, mainly when cold, no matter what we did with the PMS is still would do it on occasion, well in the last week it got worse and worse, then it started setting a code 212, first instinct was to order a pickup and modue(I always replace them in pairs), when I pulled the distributor out the reluctor was flopping around on the distributor shaft(the rotor was moving about a 1/4" in either direction), it is only pressed onto like a spline. it was moving enough that the reluctor was hitting the module on occasion. we tig welded the plate to the shaft and put a new pickup and reluctor on and the popping and codes are gone......

Would switching to a MSD Billet Distributor for my 94 cobra fix problem. Not good with welder.
