My stock 93 LX has developed a rough idle today. It idles at approx. the same engine rpm, perhaps slightly higher but definately rough. Give it a little throttle and it clears right up.
I just cleaned and re-oiled the k&n, and I know this has been known to get the MAF to do weird things. How should I go about cleaning it? Never had to do this before, but I'm guessing this is the culprit.
Thanks.

Shoot the element with carb cleaner to get rid of deposits, then follow up with brake cleaner to remove all of the carb cleaner. Let dry and reinstall.

yes, but i also use a q-tip soaked in carb cleaner to gently clean the wires. never used brake cleaner after carb cleaner and mine has always done the trick. make sure u reset the computer by undoing the negative batt cable for a few mins.....
