been hunting for some 1.7/1.72 ratio rocker arms for a CHEAP and easy project seeing as i cant shelf the HO cam and toss in an actually aggressive lumpy stick in my speed density car without the DA1 ECU sh*tting the bed due to vacuum..and cannot for the life of me understand why i cannot find a low buck bolt on stamped steel version like the arms that come on the heads from the factory to begin with.. do they not exist?

at $250 all there seems to be is Chinesium 1.7 roller rockers that literally EVERYONE says to stay away from along with tons of reviews saying how they failed this, that, and the other way.. and the only other option being going on ebay and spending $4-600 on a beat up set of SVO or Crane cobra arms which just sounds stupid for a possible 2-4hp gain?

Am I just looking things up wrong or does no one actually make a budget stamped steel 1.7 or 1.72 ratio rocker arm i can just swap out the factory ones with on these e7te's?

Also yes i'm aware no matter what i do rocker wise i'll have to get the pushrod tool, measure, and buy new hardened pushrods and guides as i've only seen a handful of threads of people getting away with the originals.

If anyone has a cheap used pedestal mount roller rocker setup, upgraded valve spring kit for the e7/GT heads, and upgraded lifters gathering dust on a shelf and would get rid of for dirt cheap shoot me a PM I've got paypal ready . pretty interested in a used B cam and just deal with the drivability issues since a mass air conversion costs about as much as a few limbs and a kidney now aday.

The putter tool is really the basics.

I wiped out a really nice SD cam when a dog bone jumped off. Tried a mild Crower cam and it ran good, BUT at idle it would have you in tears from exhaust fumes. I just bit the bullet and did an MAF conversion.
