I changed the plugs today, and all the pass. side plugs were nasty looking, but not the drivers side. Anyway, the car still backfires, but not during a quick takeoff, only if I'm going along in 3rd and gun it. It used to backfire on quick takeoffs too.

None of the wires are touching, either. My shop told me I have a low idle skip, whatever that means, that evens out at higher RPM's.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Are you sure it's not backfiring through the intake, could be a lean condition.

I see in your sig you have an adjustable regulator. May'be try turning down the pressure and see what happens. But first make sure it's not lean. Put it on a dyno with a wide band sensor and see what the A/F is.

The AFPR isn't on yet- perhaps I should put it on this weekend.

As for the coil, I'll try that too.

I was waiting to put the AFPR on until I got my new intake, possibly next week.
