My first post and I need some tech into for a friends 1996 V-6 auto mustang. The codes for both the right and left bank came on for being rich. Changed the air filter and plugs after getting the codes cleared and the codes came back after a week. Haven't found out what the new ones are yet, but does this sound like a MAF sensor problem? Seems like something on the intake side is letting it run rich and tripping the sensors to read rich. Maybe both sensors are bad, but it seemed strange they would both trip at the same time.

Any help would be great. :)

I could be the MAF. remove it from the car then hose it lightly with brake cleaner, let it dry then reinstall. Excessive fuel pressure could cause this also. Check that the vacuum line going to the regulator is hooked up and in good shape. Check fuel pressure if you can.
