I used one on my old car...a stock blocked, YS trimmed, 502rwhp basement built 306....:)

Can't honestly say if it helped or not, but engine stayed together for well over 100 passes and didn't miss a beat until the Romac balancer came loose and destroyed the crank snout. The stock block before that one was broken in three pieces, so I figured it couldn't hurt to try to at least keep all the "guts" of the engine inside, if the new engine ever decided to come apart...

I used it on a Fox body car and I "think" the oil pans are different than the SN95 cars...On the Fox, I had to beat the oil pan, from the inside outwards, to get the main support to fit, and I also had to do a little grinding on the oil pump housing for clearance...Other than that, it was a bolt-on. ;)
