Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I have a 91 Mustang LX that had the 4cyl. swapped out for a 5.0 HO and it would stay on for about 10 sec. after I turned the car off. Now I just finished swapping a new 5.0 in and now it stays on for a good minute or so afterwards. It is fuel injected. Does anyone know what is causing this and what I can do to fix it? Thanks.

first thing I would is your EEC power relay. I had a friend that had his stuck on all the time. He would kill the car and it would diesel. I'd also check timing. Is the car detonating?

Nope no detonation. It is a brand new engine I haven't even took it for a drive yet. Plenty of fuel and FPR reads at 45 PSI. I'll have to check the EEC Power Relay. Thanks for the help.

I had this problem on a car once, turn out to by the ignition kill switch fried, car wouldn't shut off. Always had to pop the trunk and bang the fuel pump inertia kill switch, then reset it.
