...and low rpm stumbling? I swaped out my 89 ALT with a 92 ALT. I might of messed somthing up in the process but, I wa just wondering if maybe a bad ALT or the wrong model could be to blame. Also the pullies were different sizes. The 89 was alot smaller than the 92. That will just make it turn slower rigt?

yes if your running voltages lower than 12 volts.

since you just changed your alternator, i am assuming you disconnected the battery. therefore you have cleared all idle strategies which now have to be relearned. disconnect the battery - wait a couple minutes. reconnect battery. start car with all accessories off -headlights off. a/c off. let idle for couple minutes and your done
