The track loc in my 95 is getting tired and I have a freshly rebuilt trac loc with the good clutch pack arrangment out of my 89. I was wondering if I can just unbolt the one out of my 95 put the ring on and put the new diff in with the shims that were in the 95 and be done with it? Would I have to go about adjusting the stuff, I dont have dial indicator or the knowledge on how to set all of it. My rearend guy can do it for about $150 but if I could save the cash by doing it myself id be happy. Thanks

Why not take the new clutches out of the 89 diff and put them in the 95 diff. That way the gear pattern will not be affected and you only costs will be RTV and axle lube. Tom
