Building my 408… getting ready to install the cam shaft “FTI custom can”. What’s the trick to installing these cam pins? One is shiort one is long? I’m going to use a double roller timing set if that makes a difference on the pin size? Any help is appreciated

Does the pin go about even with the bolt snout or it’s it out a hair?

The long pins are 1.380 in length. I take .100 off the length and it's just below the face of the cam gear. But there are variables on the depth of the hole drilled in the cam core and the thickness of the cam gear. Long pin stick past the face for fuel pump eccentrics and the short pin is for 2 piece eccentrics with the tab.

use the ARP cam sprocket bolt. Ed (FTI) has them.
