an adaptor for a stock AOD shifter to work with a C4?

If not, what kind of shifter works the best and isn't a total pain to install in the car.

P.S. I like factory looking components.

b&m sells a c4 conversion kit for $60, its the cable and brackets, I just did this and had to notch the gate on the shifter to get it into low1, but it works great. I really don't like that hammer shifter, I would like to get maybe a hurst 1/4stick but was broke, got AOD shifter free, couple month's

Thanks for the response, I'll call B&M.

BTW, how do you like the C4, do you have any recommendations for me as I do the swap?

Slow87GT,

Could you give me the part number on that conversion kit? I just called B&M and they told me they only make a conversion kit for the console hammer shifter, not for the AOD shifter. Could it possibly be the same kit and you were able to make it work with the AOD? I don't know...I've only had 5 speeds for years.

BTW, your name is not very accurate, your times are very respectable.

Tony

I have a quicksilver ratchet shifter on mine, i like it alot. Since I am also into looks and didnt want that huge box on mine, i left it off and put a shifter boot from a five speed on it. Looks real clean.

Thanks, but I'd really like to use an AOD shifter.

Anybody else.
