when i got my cobra brake kit the rotors had a paint/coating on them that protects it from rust. where can i get this coating so i can use it on my rear rotors?

That zinc coating will burn off the first stop you make. At least on the contact area it will. Just use a high temp paint and paint the NON-contact area of the rotor with it. It will stop the rust.

High temp paint will work fine. Eastwood is a cool company. In fact, they have a line of brake caliper paint in a multitude of colors. For what it's worth, I repainted mine with a cast iron color I got at NAPA. Pefectly matched my stock color.
