I've been noticing lately that my brake pedal has been feeling a little 'gritty'. I have no problem stopping, but when I looked at my rotors, I noticed the two front ones had noticeable groves in them. My brake pads are fine, any idea what would cause this? And is it a problem?

You can't remove grooves without machining the rotors, but removing the mirror/glaze finish with a brillo/light abrasive pad on a drill with improve braking and keep groves from reforming. Most grovves are caused by grit that becomes embedded in the brake pad.
