This seems the best place to ask this question. On the the brakes on a 99 GT, the thin pad that comes with the brake set, is it nessisary to have? My problem is that the glue that came with it didnt hold the thin pad to the brake pad and it has slipped and has caused nasty noises and for the brake light to come on. Can i take it out? Will it cause prblems if i do?

No its the thin pad like linner that is glued on to the metal side of the pad that rests between the pad and the caliper.
