You are right that not everyone who owns a 2011 5.0 posts on the Corral...I certainly do not just participate on this site although I have been a member here for around a decade. Of the boards I do participate in, this is the only occurrence of this happening I have seen. If it was a systemic issue like the pressure plate issue on the manual cars then I guarantee you we would have heard more about it by now.No reported cases that you know of. Not EVERYBODY with a 2011 is on the corral. Secondly, I'm calling :bs: on not being able to re-sleeve this block, considering they have sleeves in them from the factory.
I agree, however the armchair "experts" of the corral are making a lot of ASSumptions here. All I'm saying is not to rule anything out. If he sprayed it with a ####ty tune, then yeah, tough for him. But if he didn't, and it was something like a bad piston that slipped through QC checks, then they need to fix it. End of discussion.
There are certainly assumptions being made and to be expected given the rarity of this happening to date. Can't have your cake and eat it too.
The OP may come back and fess up to a power adder or may come back and post that Ford fixed it under warranty. Bottom line is unless they decide to update the outcome, it will be assumed that the worst possible scenario happened due to lack of it existing to date.
Have a nice day. :salute:
