No reported cases that you know of. Not EVERYBODY with a 2011 is on the corral:rolleyes:. Secondly, I'm calling :bs: on not being able to re-sleeve this block, considering they have sleeves in them from the factory.

I agree, however the armchair "experts" of the corral are making a lot of ASSumptions here. All I'm saying is not to rule anything out. If he sprayed it with a ####ty tune, then yeah, tough for him. But if he didn't, and it was something like a bad piston that slipped through QC checks, then they need to fix it. End of discussion.
You are right that not everyone who owns a 2011 5.0 posts on the Corral...I certainly do not just participate on this site although I have been a member here for around a decade. Of the boards I do participate in, this is the only occurrence of this happening I have seen. If it was a systemic issue like the pressure plate issue on the manual cars then I guarantee you we would have heard more about it by now.

There are certainly assumptions being made and to be expected given the rarity of this happening to date. Can't have your cake and eat it too.

The OP may come back and fess up to a power adder or may come back and post that Ford fixed it under warranty. Bottom line is unless they decide to update the outcome, it will be assumed that the worst possible scenario happened due to lack of it existing to date.

Have a nice day. :salute:

if it over revved, due to a missed shift, that more then likely broke a piston ring land then anything. but the rough running, was a sign that there was a issue from the get go.

and have them give you proof you have or even had nitrous on the car. if there are no signs of a system on the car, or ever having a system on the car. its rather hard for them to prove.

Over revving will not break a ring land.. You might colapse a skirt, or, tear the pin clean out of the piston, but, upper land failures are the result of detonation and/or abnormal flame front propogation.

First of all, I don't see how long you've been a member here is relevant to this discussion, unless you're trying to "pull rank" so to speak, and if that's the case, all I have to say is:rolleyes:. Yes, it's a rare occurance, because these engines haven't been out six months yet. The problem has to start somewhere, just like the 99-01 Lightning leaking intercooler issue. I'm pretty sure when that problem first started it was a "rare occurance". There was a problem with the 1.9's in the Escorts breaking ring lands back in '85-'86 (I had one) because of some bad pistons. It DAMN sure wasn't because of nitrous:rofl:. Like I said earlier, if he put the juice to it, then it's on him. If it's a defective piston then Ford should eat it. You never know if the piston could've been dropped, installed wrong, etc. As somebody said, if the nitrous ain't on the car, there's really no way to prove it. It's a slippery slope on BOTH parties in this case. I'm not downing Ford, or this kick ass new engine they have. I've owned Fords since my first car back in '88, and currently own FOUR Fords, and they have all been nothing but reliable. I'm just saying they have made mistakes in the past, the recalls are proof enough of that.

You failed to read and understand what I posted. My membership status here has nothing to do with anything outside of you being pompus about not every 2011 5.0 posts on here. Who gives a damn...

You have no way to prove that this has occurred multiple times just like I have no proof, other than those owners who choose to participate in the community who have posted about the problem, which is damn sure more accurate than your argument/assumption/personal assessment of the OP's current situation.

The only thing I agree with you on is that time will tell. The rest of your posts regarding this subject qualifies for nothing more than trash.

x2 You are not the only one--His posts don't makes sense at times and is mostly irrelevant. I think he just likes to argue...

with as many safety implements installed on our newest powerplants, I would say a "kit" would be the only "obvious" breach of warrantee. that said, I would think the carnage would be obvious, I mean, if you torch a piston (or two) then hey, I "might" have been juggin' it... but Ford has suffered some design faults along the way that they failed to recognize... (Lightining Owners suffered some kind of spark issue that would fry a piston or rings... can't remember which one) if the engine has not been obviously abused through spray, etc... Ford should just eat it and go on, I mean this is a 6 bolt main steel crank badass that is going head on with the LSX based GM stuff. Honor this guys claim and reinforce to us Ford guys that this "Coyote" engine has the suds.... Remember too... this is kind of a gen one combo.... it will have it's issues. It's up to us to be understandable, and up to the Blue Oval to back it's customers..... Unconditionably, cause the media and the web'll bust your ass if you don't. OUT

This whole thread blew a ring land, and the OP blows...something.
