It seems that all dealers are within $200-$300 of each other. Either there isn't that much margin for markup from what they pay or Vortech/Paxton controls the price charged by the retailers. I think it's the latter.
Back in the mid 90's Summit made a push to sell some of the products in its catalog for cheaper or giving back "Summit Bucks" . They went on to say/accuse certain companies of basically what looked like price fixing (or whatever the legal term is called). Summit must have been forced to back off as it quickly died off.
You never see one dealer selling them for $2000-$2500. I wish I knew a dealer/distributor and what they really paid to these manufacturers for many of the parts we buy. It would probably make me sick.
