I know the subject of gears has been beaten to death, but the Cobra has a higher transmission gear ratio, so I am wondering if this affects which rear end gear is optimum for street applications.

This is on a stock Cobra. I'd like more low-end grunt and acceleration.

Would the addition of more horsepower/torque (Vortech) require different gearing as well?

Thanks,

3.73 are the way to go for NA Cobra's. Gives the low end grunt. Good gear for a stock Cobra. If not mistaken the only gear that is different on the Cobra is 1st, which is lower, meaning 1st is shorter than on a GT.

If adding a supercharger, 3.55's. Have heard people hitting the rev limiter in the 1/4 with 3.73.
