Bbk longtube questions

How good are bbk longtubes?
Should I get titanium ceramic or silver ceramic? What's the difference?
Will they fit with my fox bassani x-pipe? If not what will?

Also Besides EGR and clutch Fork is there any other issues when running fox longtubes?

if you have a sn95 manual bellhousing you straight up won’t be able to run a fox bbk long tube. Iirc the x pipe setup is different between fox and sn95 years as well.

Thanks for the info on the lts, I didn't know that.
I'm gonna have to make this bassani x-pipe work with a set of bbk lts tho, somehow. maybe I'll have to get custom headers.
I’ve got ceramic BBK longtubes on my 91. I have the two piece convertible motor mounts from PPI, stock K-member, small high torque starter, Borgeson steering shaft and stock T-5. Definitely a tight fit but they fit. I even got them to work with a MM K-member brace with 1/2 spacers on the rear bolts. I had a Bassani X with the shorties and ended up cutting it to fit and used some flex and band clamps until I got tired of them leaking. Then I bought a BBK X for the LTs. I dont believe Bassani makes a X pipe anymore with or without cats for long tubes.

Sorry just saw this was in the 94/95 Tech….

I got a bassani o/r x-pipe with extra 3 inch longtube adaptors off Facebook, but now I'm stuck trying to find lts that'll fit. Maybe I'll see if the local exhaust shop can try sum like that with my x-pipe.
I have the specific 94-95 BBK LT’s on my 94 Cobra, which have been on there for now over 20 yrs and they don’t have any special coating and still look great. There’s been no issues at all and BBK is probably the best quality as far as 5.0 exhaust components. BBK as a company outlasted MAC and many other aftermarket exhaust companies that used to be prevalent during the 80’s-90’s 5.0 era.

I also always ran BBK shorty and LT’s on any prior Mustang, including a prior 1996 Cobra.

They stopped making the chrome one's. The titanium ceramic, at least on the ones I got recently look more like a ceramic paint, it scratches easy, its also not that far off from most ceramic spray bomb paints in color... The silver is more like a jet hot coating, a bit more durable.

These are probably 25 plus yr old chome ones that where on a bunch of cars, and coated at one point... Bath in vinegar took care of rust but there pitted and dented up, I just coated them with some silver bbq paint before they went on the next beater.
