Battery died and had to buy a AAA battery ( probably a cheap Exide ) to get back on the road. The battery is smaller, but the CCA number is better than the factory number. My problem is when the radio is on and I start the engine the radio pops, and it didn't do that with the old battery. Any ideas how I can correct the problem ?

1. Disconnect the battery and clean the terminals, cable and battery
2, Fully charge the battery
3. Reconnect the battery
4. KOEO (Key ON Engine OFF) check the radio, if good
5. KOER (Key On Engine Running) check the radio, if good you're done

Terminals looked very clean, but I bathed them in a baking soda solution, dried them, wire brushed everything and tightened everything back up. This helped, the pop is barely audible now. I will spray the terminals with CRC terminal protectant as soon as my local parts store gets it in...Thanks for the help !
